First-aid training collaboration in India Print E-mail

The Israeli National Emergency Medical Service, Magen David Adom (MDA) and the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) recently organised a joint project for capacitybuilding in the field of firstaid training.

Under the joint programme, chief trainers from MDA led special training workshops with trainers from IRCS, introducing methods and techniques that were developed and practised in Israel, and adapting them to meet local needs. A special session was also offered to students at the Red Cross headquarters in Delhi.

This humanitarian mission between India and Israel is an initiative aimed at sharing first-aid training methods that will be crucial in times of emergencies, natural disasters and accidents, and at teaching life-saving skills that will impact the health of billions of local civilians in India.
