Second Indo-Israel Center of Excellence in Gujarat inaugurated E-mail

The second of three Centers of Excellence (CoE) of the IndoIsraeli Agricultural Project (IIAP) in Gujarat state, India, was officially inaugurated on 15 June.

The centre for mangoes in Talala, Gujarat, is the 13th CoE to be inaugurated of the 26 planned centres in the programme. In Gujarat, the centre is joining the fully operational centre for vegetables in Vadrad and the centre for date palms in Bhuj, expected to be operational in 2018. Attending the inauguration ceremony were Parshottam Rupala, the Minister of State of Agriculture; Govind Bhai Parmar, a Member of the Gujarat State Legislature; Daniel Carmon, Ambassador of Israel to India, and David Akov, Consul General of Israel in Mumbai.
