Hong Kong hosts its fourth delegation of injured Israeli soldiers E-mail
The Jewish community in Hong Kong recently hosted its fourth delegation of injured soldiers from Israel’s Brothers for Life Ach’im L’Chayim.

Having hosted delegations from Brothers for Life for the fourth time in as many years, Hong Kong remains firmly on the map of host countries as Asia’s only host country.

Brothers for Life was founded in 2007 to help injured soldiers get their lives back on track, and now assists about 700 injured soldiers.

“Once again, from the moment the soldiers stepped off the plane in Hong Kong, they became our brothers for life,” remarked Omri Mizrahi, one of the Hong Kong community organisers.

Through the generosity of members of the Hong Kong community, the soldiers enjoyed the sights and sounds of Hong Kong and Macau and were warmly welcomed by the Ohel Leah and Shuva Israel communities.

The delegation paid its annual visit to Elsa High School, where the soldiers spoke about “overcoming personal difficulties” and played football against the school team. On their most recent trip to Israel, students from the school visited the Brothers for Life, and the bond between the school and the soldiers is growing stronger and stronger each year.
