JWA Bazaar brings in muchneeded funds E-mail

This year’s Jewish Women’s Association of Hong Kong (JWA) Charity Bazaar was held on 6 December at Island School. The event was chaired once again by Shani Brownstein, with the support of Faina Derman and Irit BalasRozner.

Shoppers turned out in force on a warm day to enjoy the community spirit – and some amazing bargains! Well over 2,000 enthusiastic shoppers turned out to buy nearly 750 boxes of donated goods, made possible by the many generous donors and a plentiful selection of homeware items, toys, clothing, bags and accessories to tempt the shoppers. There was also plenty of kosher food organised and coordinated by Chabad – according to many, serving the best falafel outside of Israel!

Sponsors for this year included EL AL Airlines, Happy Cow Ice Cream, Santa Fe Relocations, Kornit and Blu Drinks. In addition, Elsa School students turned out in force to help out in the Kids’ Kingdom.
