Hong Kong’s Secretary for Commerce and Development visits Israel E-mail

The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the Hong Kong SAR, Gregory So, made an official visit to Israel on 15 November to promote bilateral relations between Hong Kong and Israel.

Secretary So met with the Israeli Minister of Tourism, Yariv Levin, in Jerusalem to update him about tourism developments in Hong Kong. Noting that Israel is Hong Kong’s largest visitor source market in the Middle East, with about 64,000 visitors coming to Hong Kong last year, Mr So said he looked forward to having more co-operation with Israel on tourism promotion in the years ahead.

He then met with the Director General of the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Israel, Amit Lang. He encouraged Israeli companies to establish a presence or expand their business in Hong Kong, adding that Invest Hong Kong stands ready to offer a one-toone facilitation service to Israeli businesses.
