Israeli and Indian foreign ministers meet E-mail

Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Lieberman met in New York with External Affairs Minister of India Sushma Swaraj in October, on the back of the UN General Assembly gathering.

Minister Lieberman thanked External Affairs Minister Swaraj for her country’s longstanding friendship with Israel and for her personal activities to further relations between the two countries, both in her current role and also in her capacity as chairperson of the IndiaIsrael Parliamentary Friendship Association.

Lieberman also noted the good meeting held between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September at the UN General Assembly.

In their meeting, Foreign Minister Lieberman and Minister Swaraj emphasized the solid foundation and close friendship between Israel and India. Minister Swaraj accepted Lieberman’s invitation to visit Israel during 2015.
