| Serious fire damage at a Sydney synagogue |

A fire severely damaged a synagogue in Sydney on the first night of Rosh Hashanah. Seven fire trucks were required to extinguish the blaze at Kehillat Masada, St Ives, in northern Sydney at around 11pm on 28 September.
