Stone setting ceremony for Israel Pavilion Print E-mail

The countdown has begun, the stone setting ceremony for the Israel pavilion in Shanghai World Expo 2010 was officially held in the morning of 29 April, 2009.

Participants included Mr. Zhang Yunjie, Assistant Director General of Expo Bureau, Ms. Yaffa Ben-Ari, Deputy Commissioner General of Israel for the Expo, Mr. Jackie Eldan, Consul General of Israel in Shanghai, Mr. Issac Shalev, Director of the Israel Pavilion, and Mr. Haim Dotan, designer and architect of the Israel Pavilion.

 
 

The ceremony was also attended by a Rabbi and special prayers were recited. Hebrew songs were sung, while “A song for the ascents” and “Golden Jerusalem” were played by a guitar artist at the scene.
