Japanese delegation lathers on Israel's seaweed & more flights E-mail

A major Japanese delegation recently arrived in Israel to lobby for Tokyo-Tel Aviv flights and an increase in trade of health and beauty products and ingredients, particularly those derived from seaweed.

The Japanese company, Nikken, sent a delegation of two hundred-fifty employees to Israel.

The delegation, the largest corporate delegation of its kind, was sent to Eilat to learn directly from the source about the seaweed supply. From there, they met with experts at the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot where many seaweed based products are developed. In the past, Nikken has offered a number of “incentive trips” to Israel to places like the Dead Sea and Jerusalem.

Shanghai Pudong International Airport contracts with NICE E-mail

Israeli NICE Systems has recently announced that Shanghai Pudong International Airport has placed a 7-digit order to provide its IP-based video solution with content analytics.

Shanghai Pudong Airport will use the NICE solution to enhance its safety and security capabilities.

Shanghai Pudong International Airport is a major international gateway into China, handling more than 17 million passengers on international flights in 2006. The airport is planning to increase its capacity to 80 million passengers per year in a massive expansion plan.

NICE will implement an advanced IP video security solution with real time event management, and high level of redundancy, for remotely monitoring and managing activities throughout the airport campus. NICE’s solution constitutes an open IP video platform with a high availability architecture, supported by unique features, to ensure non-stop surveillance under any condition for mission critical applications.
