China selects NICE security solution for High-Speed Rail-Line E-mail

The NICE solution was recently selected by the Ministry of Railway (MOR) in China for use on the Beijing-Tianjin inter-city passenger rail service, which is expected to launch before the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

The new Beijing-Tianjin line will provide China’s first high-speed train service, designed to meet the rising demand for service between the two cities.

Premier by Dead Sea is one of Israel’s most reputable brands for luxury skincare. They market twenty-nine distinct products that include high end creams, moisturisers, face masks and anti-aging products. Additionally, exclusive gift sets are available.

In Hong Kong, the company’s products are marketed and distributed exclusively by a company recently established called Beauty Express Limited. All the marketing and operational expenses are paid for by the company and the directors are all Israelis. The products are sold directly to the public through small retail outlets at carefully selected venues and shopping centres.

They currently have three retail locations in Hong Kong and they employ local sales representatives who are trained specifically by the company on the skincare products and technical expertise. Beauty Express Limited has a very aggressive business plan and is looking to open an additional 15 outlets in 2008.

888 expands presence in Asia E-mail

Online gambling company 888 Holdings Public Limited Company(888) has signed a partnership agreement with Entertasia Technology Company Limited to develop a live casino service across Asia.  

Under the terms of the agreement, a Philippines based operating company will manage operations for the live casino, while 888 will focus on generating new customers in the region. The agreement also includes the provision of an Asian-focused sportsbook product in partnership with E-Sky, a specialised Asian sportsbook.

888 announced plans to launch the new service in several Asian territories and languages during the first quarter of 2008.

Camtek announces sale of two Falcons to Samsung E-mail

Camtek Limited recently announced that it has sold two Falcon wafer inspection systems to Samsung Electronics Co. The two systems were installed at Samsung’s test facility in Korea.

Mr. Y.S. Kang, General Manager of Camtek Korea, said: “Samsung’s demanding quality control requires strict inspection...The Falcon met these requirements by implementing an advanced automated scanning protocol that delivers the combination of acute defect detection with superb productivity.”

Richwin Travel finding a niche in the business travelers market E-mail

In Hong Kong, alone, there are  more than 10,000 travel agents and across the region there could be ten times that amount. The challenge for agents is to stand out in the crowd.

Mr. Carl Leung, co-owner of Richwin Travel Limited pointed out that in general, “To most, all travel agents are identical. They all provide the same service –some more than others.”

Mr. Leung, however, has been in the travel agent industry for 29 years and has found a niche. In the early 1990’s he established contacts within the Israeli community and assisted them with flights and hotel accommodations in Hong Kong.
