Manila has now become Groovy E-mail

Groovy Map launched their Manila Map’n’Guide in June, adding one more city to their growing list of popular tourist orientation maps. With this new product, Groovy Map founder and managing director, Aaron Frankel, hopes to change the perception tourists have of the city.

Groovy Map Co. was founded in 1999 in Bangkok by Aaron Frankel who confesses that many considered this business venture, in its infancy, to be nothing more than a “questionable hobby”. The first Groovy Map printed was actually in 1996, Groovy Map ‘n’ Guide Bangkok and was a first print run of 1,000 copies, complete with hand-drawn cartoons.

Infinity Equity invests in China Medicine On-Line E-mail

Infinity Equity announced, in June, that the Infinity I-China Fund is investing US $8 million in China Medicine On-Line Ltd., a telemedicine services provider in China.

The investment will be split into two equal installations, as per the terms of the agreement. China Medicine On-Line, the leading national integrated healthcare network in China, supplies a panic button service to more than eighty thousand customers in Shanghai and Nanjing.

Vietnam sends trade delegation to Israel E-mail

The Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) sent a delegation that included 8 Vietnamese software companies and Vietnam Television to Israel from 28–29 May 2008 to expand business cooperation with Israel.

The delegation hopes to foster new partnerships, increase representation of Israeli technology in Vietnam, and coordinate technology training and outsourcing.

IMA delegation's Asian Road Show E-mail

The Israel Mobile and Communications Association (IMA) and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Industry’s Foreign Trade Administration sent a delegation of eight Israeli high-tech companies to participate in their now annual Southeast Asian Road Show.

This years road show was held from 29 May - 5 June. Key representatives from Radware Ltd., TTI Team Telecom International Ltd., Cellbrite Mobile Synchronization Ltd., Pudding Media llc., SendM Ltd., TJAT Systems Ltd., Vringo, and Winetworks Ltd. participated in the delegation of leading Israeli companies in the provision of technology and solutions for mobile devices.

Israeli presence at major China software fair E-mail

The China International Software and Information Service Fair (CISIS) was held in Dalian, China from 18-22 June 2008. The fair attracted major players in both foreign and domestic markets, including a strong Israeli presence.

Israel’s Trade Mission to China together with the Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute hosted a booth at a prime location at the show that allowed Israeli companies to exhibit their products and information and conduct meetings with Chinese companies.
