Walking by Johnny’s Photo Supply & Video Supply store, in Hong Kong, one might be surprised to see the large silver Magen David in the window.  

The Magen David, coupled with the beautiful and prominently displayed Hamsa, and the dozens of Hebrew notes and messages papering the walls of the shop may not be out of place in an Israeli owned business, but Johnny Leung is local Chinese.

"Forbes" agrees Israelis are amongst the most powerful women in the world E-mail

“Forbes” recently published its list of the world’s one hundred most powerful women. On this list of politicians and businesswomen, Israelis maintained a strong position, holding fours spots on the list.

Safra Catz, Oracle president and chief financial officer, was ranked 21st.  Referred to as the most powerful woman in Silicon Valley, she topped the list for the Israelis.  Though Catz now lives in the United States, she was born in Holon, Israel.

Orbotech signs with Singapore's Microcircuit E-mail

Microcircuit Technology Ltd. ordered two Paragon Laser Direct Imaging systems and four InFinex malfunction identification systems from Orbotech.

Although exact figures have not been released, the value of the deal is estimated at US$3-US$6 million.

Citigroup Israel Wins Euromoney Award for Excellence 2006 E-mail

Citigroup Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) has been recognised by Euromoney magazine as the “Best Debt House” and “Best Equity House” in Israel.

Citigroup also received a number of Euromoney awards for other divisions in their worldwide business, including: “Best Emerging Markets Bank” and the “Best Global Cash Management Bank”.

Enzymotec signs marketing agreement with Ildong E-mail

Israeli company, Enzymotec Corporation has entered into a joint venture with South Korea’s Ildong Pharmaceutical Company Limited to develop Enzymotec’s CardiaBeat product for the Korean market.
