Ben Gurion Airport voted one of world’s top airports E-mail

Once again, Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport has ranked in the top 10 international airports as part of the “World’s Best Award” survey by readers of US travel magazine Travel+Leisure.

This year Ben Gurion airport reached the eighth spot, ahead of Amsterdam’s Schiphol and Abu Dhabi’s international airport.

The magazine’s readers rated international airports (those located outside of the US) on the criteria of access, check-in/security, restaurants/ bars, shopping and design. In 2016 alone, around 18 million passengers passed through the terminals of Ben-Gurion Airport.

Travel+Leisure is one of the most respected publications for the upscale traveller. Every year, for its “World’s Best Award” survey, the magazine asks its readers to weigh in on their travel experiences around the globe and to share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise lines, spas, airlines and more.
