Israel Diamond Pavilion at Hong Kong show hosts 83 companies E-mail

Israel’s diamond industry was again a major presence at the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. This year’s event ran from 28 February to 4 March at the AsiaWorld-Expo.

The Israel Diamond Pavilion, organised by the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI), hosted 83 companies. There were also 10 Israeli companies exhibiting in other locations throughout the show. Among the Israeli exhibitors four companies were participating in the show for the first time.

In the 1,200-square-metre Israel Diamond Pavilion, located in the Diamond Hall, IDI hosted a spacious lounge, with refreshments being served throughout the day.

Three “Get Diamond Show” terminals enabled buyers to search a computerised database in both English and Chinese to find all the goods offered by Israeli exhibitors at the show. Buyers could also access the Get Diamond Show system on their smartphones.

The Israeli exhibitors presented diamonds of all shapes and sizes, with several companies showing very large and important stones and fancy coloured diamonds. Many of the exhibitors were also showing specially designed pieces of diamond jewellery.
