Pianist Matan Fishov performs in India Print E-mail

Talented and rising young pianist Matan Fishov performed to a packed house on 31 August at the India Habitat Center in Delhi, India.

Fishov is known for captivating audiences with his virtuosity, lyricism and interpretive sensitivity. As an experienced recital pianist, Fishov showcases his colourful musical personality and his interesting interpretations in pieces from any period. His programme in Delhi included pieces by Beethoven, Brahms, Scriabin, J.S. Bach and Chopin.

Fishov was born in 1993 in Israel. He received his first piano lessons at the age of 13, and made rapid progress after becoming a student of Mrs Eva Malkin. He later studied with Professor Jonathan Zak. In recent years he has performed across Israel as a soloist pianist, giving more than 200 recitals. He has also performed at the Alion Baltic International Music Festival in Tallinn, Estonia; at MEAM (the European Museum of Modern Art) in Barcelona, Spain, and in Germany.
