Karmiel International Dance Festival Print E-mail

Over 250,000 visitors and tourists attended the 30th Annual International Karmiel Dance Festival, which took place from 8 to 10 August in Karmiel, located between Akko and Tzfat, in the heart of the Beit Kerem Valley, Israel. The event is the largest dance festival of its kind in the country.

Tennis courts, sports halls and community centres, together with an amphitheatre and an arena, became the stages for the festival, with over 100 performances and events scheduled throughout the area, and with the participation of 10,000 dancers. This year there were performances by dancers from China, Georgia, Prague and Hungary.

Dance companies from all over Israel, and from many other countries, participate in the Karmiel Dance Festival. Dance enthusiasts of all ages, from children to adults, attend scores of performances. In addition, the Festival includes Salsa dance parties; marathons of Zumba, Hip Hop and Breakdance; Jazz and choreography competitions; roller dancing; public singing and more.
